Terry Lee Walker, 66, of Taylorville, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at his residence.
Terry was born December 22, 1956, in Taylorville, the son of Charles Larue and Capitola June (Landers) Walker. He received his mechanics certification after high school and worked for 15 years at the Crowne #2 mine. Terry also worked as a mechanic his entire life for various places, and later worked as a carpenter. He was always involved in racing sports of some kind, and he enjoyed demo derbies. Terry loved camping, and his dogs, especially Sophie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Walker; and sister, Lynn Brown.
Terry is survived by his children, Heather (husband, John) Eyer of Taylorville, and Jeremy (wife, Amanda) Walker of Morrisonville; grandchildren, Emma Eyer, Jhett Walker, Jhadyn (Madison Krager) Walker, Jhia Walker, Jhak Walker, Jhude Walker, Jhenner Walker, Jhordyn Walker, Jhorjie Walker, Jhacek Walker, and Jheno Walker; great grandson, Crue Walker; sister, Kay Green of Nokomis; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Ceremony: 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville with Rev. Dayle Badman officiating.
The family has entrusted Shafer-Perfetti & Assalley Funeral Home in Taylorville with ceremonies.
