Rozella May Brown, 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 09, 2026, surrounded by her loving daughters. Visitation for Rozella will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Assalley Funeral Home, 118 E. College Avenue, Greenville, Il., 62246. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Tyson Graber officiating. The family has chosen Assalley Funeral Home to assist with services.
Born December 2, 1931, in Greenville, Illinois to Everett and Emma (nee McMurren) White. Rozella spent her lifetime as a resident of Bond County. She married the love of her life, Raymond Brown, Jr., on October 4, 1947, in Greenville. They were happily wedded for 57 before Raymond preceded her in death on July 19, 2005.
Rozella worked as a clerk for IGA, seamstress for DeMoulin Bros., and Quality Cleaners. Alongside Jr., she also enjoyed buying and selling antiques, a hobby that allowed them to spend many happy years together.
She was known for her warm, friendly nature and generous spirit. Rozella found joy in watching the birds and squirrels, playing pinochle and bingo with friends, and making memories with those she loved the most. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her two daughters, grandchildren and the rest of her family.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Everett and Emma; husband, Raymond; brothers, Earl, Robert, and Charles White; son in law, Lyle Nolan.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Nolan, of Highland and Linda (Larry) Walcheck of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Mark Nolan and Jeffrey Nolan, both of Greenville; great grandchildren, Kristi (Scott) Smith and Brittney (Dustin) Earnest; great-great-grandchildren, Violet Smith, and Lauren, Emma, and Blair Earnest.
