Dennis Gene Oller

Dennis Gene Oller, 55, of Morrisonville died at 2:55 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2013, at his home.

A celebration of life service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, May 17, at the Palmer Community Building. Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Oller was born in Taylorville on March 24, 1958, the son of the late Warren “Bud” and LaVene (Durbin) Oller. He married Sharon K. Kraner at the First Presbyterian Church in Morrisonville on Jan. 30, 1982, and she survives in Morrisonville.

He worked for the Christian County Highway Department for 32 years and also for Taylorville Township. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed deer hunting and watching NASCAR.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Oller is survived by sons, Joshua Oller (companion Jessica Dooley) of Morrisonville and Caleb Oller of Taylorville; brother, Edward Oller of Kincaid; sisters, Mary (husband Carl) Prose of Streamwood, Gloria (husband Bill) Ovington of Morrisonville and Susan Poleon of Palmer; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Oller; and nephew, Nick Oller.
