Henry Bertoux
Funeral services for Henry Bertoux, 67, of Harvel were held Sunday afternoon, April 26, at 3 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church in Morrisonville. Pastor Jim Ferrill officiated, and burial was in Morrisonville Cemetery. The Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bertoux died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at 10:35 p.m. at his residence. He was born June 7, 1941, in Auburn to Henri and Jeanne (Pignon) Bertoux.
He and Jacqueline "Jackie" Miller were married on July 13, 1985, at the First Presbyterian Church of Morrisonville, and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Sean Henry (wife Rebecca) Bertoux of Rushville; two daughters, Marshan Renee (husband Pat) DeCock of Waterford, WI, and Peggy Wade of Roanoke, VA; a stepson, Bradley Charles Kolkhorst of Chicago; a stepdaughter, Ronda Lynnette (husband Dale) Clarke of Fort Worth, TX; five grandchildren, Danielle and Dustin Clarke of Lubbick, TX, Christian and Sebastian Bertoux of Rushville; and Michael Smith of Roanoke, VA; one sister, Laura (husband Elmer) Townsend of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Geanne Mitchel, and her husband, Glenn Mitchel.
He retired from Horace Mann as a program analyst in June of 2003. He belonged to the Morrisonville First Presbyterian Church where he served as a session member and clerk of the session while also singing in the choir. An Air Force veteran, he belonged to American Legion Post 299 in Raymond. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, vacationing, and playing with his grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be directed to his church or to the American Heart Association.
