Katelyn "Katie" Marie Langham, age 28, of Greenville, IL passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10 AM at The Greenville First Christian Church. Burial will be in McKendree Chapel Cemetery, Keyesport, IL. Friends may call on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 4-8 PM at The Greenville First Christian Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to Siteman Cancer Center or Gateway Foundation Alcohol and Treatment Center.
Katie was born November 16, 1990 in St. Louis, MO to Kirk and Melody (Ambuehl) Langham. She is survived by her parents of Greenville, IL., her sister Emma Langham of Kansas City, MO, her loving companion and best friend Kayla Marinel Brown of Greenville, IL, her maternal grandparents Doug and Nancy Ambuehl of Greenville, IL and Joyce Lutz of Troy, IL., her paternal grandparents Ann and Charles Leonard of Greenville, IL. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Dode G. Langham and a cousin Allison Langham.
Katie grew up in Greenville and graduated from Greenville High School. She received an associate's degree from Kaskaskia College and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Greenville University. Katie was employed at the local Dairy Queen for several years. She brought great joy to many with her beautiful smile. She was a member of Greenville First Christian Church where she participated in choir for many years. She was baptized on November 13th, 1999. Katie had multiple hobbies; She loved reading, doing puzzles, and collecting Muppets and Wizard of Oz memorabilia. Most of all Katie loved her many pets.
