PANAMA - Arthur Perfetti, 76, of Panama died Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at his home.

He was born Dec. 14, 1930, in Panama, the son of Ciro and Fannie Romani Perfetti.

Mr. Perfetti graduated from Indiana College of Mortuary Science in 1956. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a licensed funeral director and embalmer for 50 years and owned and operated Perfetti Funeral Homes in Sorento and Panama from 1958 until he retired in 2001. He was a member of the Illinois Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, VFW Post 6628, Hillsboro Moose Lodge and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Panama.

Survivors: daughter, Debbie (husband, Greg) Curl of Effingham; son, Dean (wife, Corrina) Perfetti of Springfield; three grandchildren; brother, Roy (wife, Frieda) Perfetti of Coffeen; several nieces and nephews; and former wife, Charlene Perfetti of Hillsboro.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Perfetti Funeral Home, Sorento, the Revs. Elmer L. Fenton and Chris Comerford officiating. Burial: Sunnyside Cemetery, Sorento.
