Joseph Brasche

JOSEPH BRASCHE, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, Ill. He was born June 17, 1915 in Kincaid, Ill., the son of Leona (Nave) and Albert Brasche. 

He married Mary Louise Bozarth on August 7, 1936 and she died February 13, 1994. Joe served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 - 1945 as a First Class Electrician Mate serving at the American Theater and Asiatic Pacific Points and had 3 Bronze Stars. He retired in 1980 from Peabody Mine #10. He was a member of VFW Post 4495, A Mason, Shriner, First United Methodist Church, Taylorville, and a graduate of Dale Carnegie. Surviving are his son David (wife Sheryl) Brasche, Taylorville Daughter: Mary Jo (husband Ken) Werth, Lincoln, Ill. 

Grandchildren: Ryan (Paige) Brasche, Memphis, TN., and Jared (Nikki) Brasche, Taylorville; Great grandchildren: Sarah Brasche, Madeline Novak, Kyle Brasche and Andrew Belsher 
He was preceded by his parents, wife, and sister Helen Sims. 

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 15, 2008 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville, Ill Funeral will be Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville, Ill., 

Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, Ill. Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville, is in charge or arrangements.
