W. Willas Massey

W. Willas Massey, 68, of Sorento, IL passed away Thursday, December 2, 2004 at 8:30 AM at Greenville Regional Hospital.

He was born December 26, 1935 in rural Sorento, IL the son of Robert Carey and Amelia Minnie (Boerckel) Massey. He married Doris Marie Langel on December 26, 1956 at Old Ripley, IL. Preceding him in death were his parents; 4 brothers, Theodore, Robert, Paul and John Massey; 3 sisters, Louise De Vore, Maggie Collman and Lola York. 
Mr. Massey worked for Kauling Wood Products. 

Survivors: Wife, Doris M. Massey of Sorento, IL; 4 Daughters, Kathy (husband, Kendall) Brink of Sorento, IL, Connie (husband, Paul Sr.) Kelley of Sorento, IL, Cindy (husband, Dale) Brown of Mulberry Grove, IL and Mary (husband, Mike) Essenpries of Sorento, IL; 9 Grandchildren, Kory Brink, Kevin Brink, Brandie Kelley, Paul Kelley, Darrin Kelley, Rachael Wall, Nicholas Brown, James Essenpreis and Shannon Essenpreis; 6 Great Grandchildren, Emma Brink, Gracie Brink, Kyle Brink, Kaleb Brink, Kaden Brink and Alexis Kelley; 3 Sisters, Ellen Shoop of Irving, TX, Ruth Weigler and Fem Hall both of Edwardsville, IL; Several Nieces and Nephews. 

Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 PM Sunday, December 5 at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 6 at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento with Rev. Elmer L. Fenton officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Sorento. 

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
