Mabel Mae Jurgena, 87, of Morrisonville, IL passed away Monday, April 3, 2006 at 5:50 PM at Heritage Manor in Pana.
She was born on February 16, 1919 in Raymond, Illinois the daughter of Albert and Myrtle (Maze) Eckhoff. She married Joseph R. Jurgena on November 5, 1938 in Hillsboro, Illinois; he preceded her in death in 1987. Also preceding her in death were her parents, 1 daughter, Joan Fullerton Riley; Sisters, Orel Clotfelter and Wilma McCallum; 3 brothers, Howard, Ralph and Elmer Eckhoff.
Mrs. Jurgena worked as an X-ray Technician for the Christian County Tuberculosis Center, retiring after 20 years. She was a member of St. Maurice Catholic Church, Alter and Rosary Society and the Foresters.
Survivors: Sons, Richard (wife, Jean) Jurgena of Darnestown, MD and John (wife, Joan) Jurgena of Litchfield, IL; Daughters, Mary (husband, Glenn) Wegener of Kinmundy, IL and Marti (husband, John) Harris of Springfield, IL; 12 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Friends may call of Thursday, April 6 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville.
Funeral Mass will be held Friday, April 7 at 10:30 AM at St. Maurice Catholic Church, with Rev. Chris Comerford officiating. Burial will follow in St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery, Morrisonville.
In memory of Mabel M. Jurgena memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville is in charge of arrangements.
