Hilbert Leroy “Lee” Schulte, 64, of Litchfield, IL passed away Sunday, April 02, 2006 at 8:15 AM at his home.

He was born on March 12, 1942 in Bethalto, IL the son of Roy and Edna (Weeks) Schulte. He married Norma Lee Gerdes on March 26, 1966 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Preceding him in death were his parents, 2 sisters, Virginia Bilyeu and Rose Kamoski.

Mr. Schulte worked as a bricklayer at Granite City Steel. He was a graduate of Staunton High School were he was an All American Football Player. He was a US Navy veteran and a member of the Zion Lutheran Chrch and VFW Post 3912 both in Litchfield.

Survivors: Wife, Norma Lee Schulte of Litchfield, IL; 1 Daughter, Tammy (husband, Sam) Carter of Morrisonville, IL; 2 Grandsons, Thomas and Todd Carter both of Morrisonville, IL; 1 Brother, Virgil (wife, Carolyn) Schulte of Staunton, IL; 3 Sisters, Rita (husband, Richard) Tun , Joyce (husband, Jim) Love and Shirley Ashley all of Staunton, IL; Mother In Law, Geraldine Gerdes of Litchfield, IL; Sister In Law, Janice (husband, Bob) Halteman of Litchfield, IL; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Friends may call on Thursday, April 6 from 10:00-11 :00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Morrisonville.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 6 at 11 :00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Morrisonville, with Rev. Jim Ferrill officiating.

In memory of Hilbert Leroy “Lee” Schulte memorials may be made to St. Francis Hospital Hospice.

Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville is in charge of arrangements.
