Charles Maurice Westcott Jr., 82, of Morrisonville passed away Thursday, November 2, 2006 at 6:50 PM at Hillsboro Area Hospital.
He was born September 6, 1924 in Hillsboro, IL the son of Charles M. and Olive M. (Osborn) Westcott Sr. He married Louise N. Hayes on February 15, 1948 at Wares Grove Church in Butler. Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Dr. Mary Jane Tracey.
Mr. Westcott was a truck driver, sold feed for Moorman’s Feed Co. and retired from the US Postal Service as a rural mail carrier in 1989. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 681 and Leslie Reddick American Legion Post 721 both of Morrisonville, Odd Fellows Lodge in Palmer, Morrisonville United Methodist Church and attended the First Presbyterian Church in Morrisonville, Veteran of the US Navy serving during World War II.
Survivors: Wife, Louise N. Westcott of Morrisonville, IL; Twin Sons, David Westcott of Silverdale, WA and Dean Westcott of Bremerton, WA, Bruce Westcott of Springfield, IL; 7 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; Brother, David “D.K.” Westcott of St. Louis, MO; Many Nieces and Nephews.
Friends may call on Monday, November 6 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Masonic rites will be conducted Monday at 6:45 PM at the funeral home. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, November 7 at 11:00 AM at the Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Ferrill officiating. Burial will follow in Wares Grove Cemetery, Butler. Military honors will be conducted by the Leslie Reddick American Legion Post 721 of Morrisonville at the grave.
