Joseph Leo Unser

Joseph Leo Unser, 91 of Morrisonville, died Monday, July 31, 2000, at his home. He was born July 15, 1909, in Christian County, the son of Adolph and Catherine Nagle Unser.

In 1935, he married Marie E. Boehler. She preceded him in death in 1979. in 1986, he married Mamie Frankell, who survives.

He was a member of St. Maurice Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors: son, Joseph (wife Maureen) Unser of Naperville, IL. Eight daughters Ann (husband Mike) LaBante, Joan (husband David) Kervin, Helen Minder of Springfield; Mary Frances Unser of Peoria; Marilyn (husband Larry) Thompson of Farmersville; Rose Marie Benko, Dayton, Ohio; Carolyn (husband John) Minder of Sarasota, Florida; Rita Unser of Aurora, Colorado; 29 grandchildren; a brother, Laren Unser of Lakeland, Florida; and a sister Margaret Curtin of Taylorville.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

Visitation is Wednesday, August 2nd 4-8 PM with prayer service at 4:00 PM; 10:AM Thursday, funeral services at St. Maurice Church.

Memorials may be made to St. Maurice Grade School.
