Christopher "Chris" P. Poleon

Christopher “Chris” Patrick Poleon, 68, of Palmer, IL passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at 7 :20 AM at his home.

He was born August 16, 1935 in Dun Boyne County Meath, Ireland. The son of Christopher Joseph and Elizabeth (Russell) Poleon. He married Donna G. Campbell on August 6, 1960 in St. Charles, Michigan. Preceding him in death were his parents, 1 grandson, 1 great grandson and 1 brother.

Mr. Poleon was Production Superintendent for Spartech from 1962-1998. He was a member of St. Maurice Catholic Church and loved gardening. He became an official United States citizen at the United States District Court Naturalization Ceremony on May 30, 1997 at the Old State Capitol in Springfield, IL.

Survivors: Wife, Donna G. Poleon of Palmer, IL; Sons, Tyrone (Susan) Poleon of Palmer, IL and Keith Poleon of Palmer, IL; Daughters, Theresa (David) DeJaynes of Custer Park, IL and Melanie (Joe) Tarrant of Morrisonville, IL; 11 Grandchildren; 1 Granddaughter; 9 Brothers, John, Michael, William, Anthony, Sylvester, Valentine and Kevin Poleon all of Ireland and Patrick and James Poleon both of England; 3 Sisters, Catherine Galvin and Elizabeth Greene both of Ireland, and May MacCaffrey of Michigan; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Friends may call Friday, July 30, 2004 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 31, 2004 at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Morrisonville, with Rev. Chris Comerford officiating. Burial will be in Morrisonville Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
