Reva Alice Etheridge

Reva Alice Etheridge passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 9:34 p.m. at St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, Taylorville, IL in the presence of her family.

She was born on November 5, 1931 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Harold and Verla May (Robison) Fort. In 1954 she graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She was a lifelong Illini fan. She later earned her Master’s Degree in Education. On February 4, 1956 she married Dr. R. Keith Etheridge.

She was a teacher at Memorial School and Taylorville Junior High School. She had a lifelong passion for education and was very proud of the academic achievements of the children and grandchildren. She also recently celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary. She was a member of the Teacher Education Association, First United Methodist Church, Taylorville, IL, D.A.R., A.A.U.W.

She is survived by her husband Keith Etheridge of Taylorville, daughters, Ellen Mozurkewich and husband George, Jr., of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Alice and husband George Danilovich of Winfield, IL, son Tom Etheridge of Chicago, IL, brothers Charles Fort (wife Carol) of Morton, IL, and Duane (wife Sharon) Fort of Bloomington. Grandchildren, Daniel and David Mozurkewich of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Nadia, Nina and Nicholas Danilovich of Winfield, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 3 at 10:00 A.M., at Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Shafer Funeral Home.
