Alice M. Hatcher

Alice Hatcher entered into rest at Cedarhurst of Greenville, Illinois on Wednesday January 12, 2023.

Alice was born on September 29, 1932, in New Baden, Illinois as the 2nd child of 14 children born to Glenn and Alice Wrinkle.  Alice and William Hatcher were married on March 11, 1967 enjoying 52 years of marriage.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband William Hatcher, her siblings Mary Parker, Dwan Sterba, Nancy Roberts, Jane Zimmerly, Glen Wrinkle Jr, Alan Wrinkle, Steve Wrinkle, Tom Wrinkle and Mike Wrinkle as well as her parents Glen & Alice (Jennings) Wrinkle.

Alice is survived by daughters, Whitney Cook (Tom Cook) and Hillary Volz (Ed Volz), son Andy Hatcher (Sheila Hatcher), grandchildren Lauryn Cook, Justin Cook, Camryn Hatcher, Brooke Hatcher, Kate Volz, AJ (Andrew Joseph) Hatcher, Nichole Howlett, Dominick Howlett, and Jordan Howlett, sisters Linda Thornton (Charles), Sandy Sexton, brothers Mark Wrinkle (Sandy) and Ron Wrinkle (Sue).

Above all else, family came first with Alice, loving her children and grandchildren, spending time making lasting memories.  Alice was an amazing cook who didn’t need a recipe to lay out beautiful meals.  Family dinners on holidays and Sundays gave her family the perfect opportunity to relax and reconnect.

Alice lived life on her own terms, she was a force to be reckoned with and will be very much missed.

Alice’s family would like to thank the staff at Cedarhurst of Greenville for treating her so very well during the last year of her life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, 150 North Elizabeth Ave Ferguson, Mo. 63135, on Saturday January 28, 2023, at 11 am.  Immediately following mass, please join us to celebrate Alice’s life at Favazza’s, 5201 Southwest Ave. St. Louis, Mo. 63109.

The family has entrusted Assalley-Young Funeral Home in Greenville with the ceremonies.
