Grace Nicole Goodwin was born silent on February 9, 2023, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. Grace was the treasured daughter of Jade Nicole (Koertge) and Walker Lane Goodwin.
During her short time here on earth she touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. Her life was a brief gift.
Surviving Grace are her parents, Jade and Walker Goodwin of Mulberry Grove, IL; maternal grandparents, Devin and Sherri Koertge of Mulberry Grove, IL; paternal grandfather, Scott (Lisa) Goodwin of Newton, IL; paternal grandmother, Lisa Goodwin of Hartsville, TN; great maternal grandparents, Ron & Betty Hartmann and David & Vickie Koertge all of Mulberry Grove, IL; paternal great grandfather, Gary Goodwin of Newton, IL; aunts, Trista Koertge of Mulberry Grove, IL, McCrae Goodwin and Chesney Goodwin both of Hartsville, TN.
She was preceded by a paternal great grandmother, Caroline Sue Walker.
A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Auburn cemetery, Greenville, IL.
Memorials may be sent to the Children’s Ministry, First Christian Church, 1100 Killarney Drive, Greenville, IL 62246, in lieu of plants, flowers, and other gifts.
The family has entrusted Assalley Funeral Homes with the ceremonies.
