Meda Ann Durbin

Meda Ann Durbin, 81, of Morrisonville, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.  Meda was born July 26, 1943, the daughter of Otis and Mary (Graham) Owens.  She married David Durbin on December 22, 1959, in Taylorville.

Surviving are her husband, David Durbin of Morrisonville; her children, Doris (Ronald) Lush of Kincaid, David (Lisa) Durbin of Palmer, and Sandy (Jeff) Fahl of Morrisonville; her grandchildren:  Dustin, Desiree, Hope, Ashley, Jake (Aimee), Joey (Blair), Brehia, and Cody(Madison); her great-grandchildren:  Jalynn, Millie, Memphis, Legend, Marcy, Allison, Luke, Logan, Elouise, Vera, Charlie, Chandler, Dean, Tessa, and Emma; her great-great-grandchildren, Ella, Haven, and Brody.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Debra; a son in-law, Dale; a granddaughter, April; a grandson, Darren; her brothers, Don and Doug; her sisters, Rita, Florence, Nonie, Theotis, Marilyn, and Theresa.

Meda was involved with the Morrisonville community for many years.  She owned/managed her local salon for several years.  She also enjoyed making quilts and would look forward to camping and boating with her family.  Her family meant everything to her, especially her grandbabies.  She was a good cook and was known to make great homemade noodles.  She was also a member of St. Maurice Catholic Church.

The family will receive family at Shafer-Perfetti & Assalley Funeral Home in Morrisonville on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
