Maureen Barth, age 76 of Greenville, IL died Monday July 14, 2025, at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greenville, IL.

She was born on August 2, 1948, in Vandalia, Illinois, the youngest daughter of Albert ‘Dutch’ and Grace Lee (Dickson) Barth. She was raised on the family farm south of Tamalco and attended school in Greenville. In her youth, she was member of the Tamalco Christian Church and was active in the local 4-H club called the Chatterbox. Later, Maureen attended the First Christian Church of Greenville, Illinois. After graduating from Greenville High School in 1966, Maureen started her career at Bradford National Bank where she was employed until her retirement in 2013.

One of Maureen’s greatest joys was visiting with her grandchildren and when possible, attending events with them. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed watching the University of Illinois basketball team and football. Maureen loved going to lunch with friends, playing pinochle at the Senior Center, and shopping. Maureen also helped to organize a local chapter called the Greenville Delight affiliated with the national organization of The Giving Doll. Each doll made is handcrafted and then are given to the Ronald McDonald House, Children’s Hospital in St. Louis and in Springfield, Illinois and to local children.

Preceding her in death are her parents; sisters, Carolyn Spradling and Marilyn Barth; brothers, Albert ‘Dick’ Barth and Carl ‘Shorty’ Barth; and brother-in-law, Harry Dale Enloe.

Maureen is survived by her son, Jared (Jill) Frueh of Ohio, Illinois and grandchildren, Payton and Parker Frueh and siblings, Betty Enloe of Keyesport, Illinois, Lee Roy (Mary) Barth of Keyesport, Illinois, Louis (Carol) Barth of Greenville, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Joyce Barth of Highland, Illinois and Shirley Barth of Greenville, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., July 30th, at Tamalco Christian Church, 1798 Tamalco Avenue, Keyesport, Illinois. Burial will be private.

Memorials may be given at the celebration of life or mailed to the Payne Cemetery, 273 Payne Cemetery Road, Keyesport, Illinois, 62253, in lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts.
