Judy L. Sauls

Judy Sauls, 84, of Sorento, Illinois, entered into rest on December 24th, 2025, in Belleville Illinois.

Born to Marvin and Norma (Feezel) LaTempt on June 3rd, 1941, in Alton Illinois. Judy graduated from Civic Memorial high school in Bethalto, class of 1959. After high school Judy became a legal secretary for a local lawyer. In 1975 she started her career in the laundry department of Hillsboro Area Hospital where she worked her way to Director of Environmental Services, until her retirement. After retirement she worked part time for Cullison Law Firm until her passing.

Judy loved God and Jesus. She could be found every Sunday morning in a pew at the Panama Baptist Church in Panama Illinois. Judy was the best cook and made her family dinner every Sunday after church. Judy enjoyed breakfast with her friends at least once a month. Judy’s hobbies included church, cooking, baking, spending time with her family, working puzzles, and doing coloring pages on her iPad.

Judy is survived by her two children, Daniel (Rachelle) Sauls and Sherri Sauls; Grandchildren, Andrew Sauls and Kirsten (Jake) Sauls; great granddaughter, Dakota Sauls; great grand pup, Stetson; Sister, Sue Kirn; Brother, Jack LaTempt; Sister-in-law, Marilyn (Dave) Garst; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her Husband Jack Sauls; Parents, Marvin (Ruby) LaTempt and Norma (Bob) Weatherholt (nee Feezel); Father and Mother-in-law, Brice and Virginia Sauls; Brother and Sister-in-law, Dean and June Sauls; Sister-in-law, Debbie LaTempt; Grandson, Michael Stein.

Visitation for Judy Sauls will be held on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025, from 4-6pm with the funeral service following from 6-7pm at Perfetti – Assalley Funeral Home in Panama, Illinois.

Interment will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, Illinois.
