Carl Durbin, 89 of Morrisonville passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 2:45 p.m. at his home in Morrisonville. He was born on March 21, 1936, in Palmer IL, the son of Clyde and Grace (Skinner) Durbin. He married Patricia Walz on February 15, 1958, in Litchfield, IL. Carl enjoyed playing cards, pitching horseshoes and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife: Patricia Durbin of Morrisonville, IL; children: Kelly (Mike) Parkin of Morrisonville, IL; Gary Durbin of Taylorville, IL; grandchildren: Jeffrey Durbin, Lyndsey (Doug) Jones, Jeremy Durbin; Paul (Maria) Parkin and Erin (Tom) Carter; Great-grandchildren: Maeve and Emberly Parkin, Avery and Grayson Carter, Karleigh, Kynsleigh, Jeffrey Jr, Jameson and Kamreigh Durbin; Miley and Carter Metz, Bexley Radford; siblings: Frank Durbin, Ronnie (Diane) Durbin, Don (Dorothy) Durbin, Betty Biondolino, Donna Durbin, Mary (John) Griffiths and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son: Jeff Durbin, brothers: Robert and Glenn Durbin and sister: Vivian Durbin: sisters-in-law: B. Carol Durbin and Carol Durbin.    

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Assalley Funeral Home in Morrisonville, IL. Graveside service will begin immediately following the visitation and procession to the cemetery. Inurnment will be in St. Maurice Cemetery in Morrisonville, IL.

A luncheon will be held following inurnment at the American Legion in Morrisonville.

Memorials may be made to the Morrisonville Ambulance Service or to the Morrisonville Fire Department.
