Claire Mae Weber, 78, of Morrisonville, IL passed away Friday, May 5, 2006 at 7:04 AM at St. Vincent Memorial Hospital in Taylorville.
She was born December 25, 1927 in rural Morrisonville, IL the daughter of Leonard and Eula (Smith) Prose. She married Ivan E. Weber on January 11, 1948 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvel; he preceded her in death on May 18, 2002. Also preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Lawrence Prose.
Mrs. Weber was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. She was a seamstress beginning her career working at her family’s business, Prose Clothing Store in Girard. She also had worked at Gent’s Only in Girard, Marbelstones in Auburn and did alterations for The Top Drawer in Taylorville. During World War II Mrs. Weber received her teaching certificate and taught grades 1 thru 8 at Skinner School east of Morrisonville.
Survivors: Daughters, Marcia (husband, Wayne) Rosenthal of Morrisonville, IL and Arlene (husband, Don) Montgomery of Loami, IL; Grandsons, Sean, Dustin and Casey Rosenthal all of Morrisonville, IL; Brother, Glenn “Bill” (wife, Bobbi) Prose of Girard, IL; Sister, Normadine Johnson of Auburn, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews, Great Great Nieces and Nephews and Cousins.
Friends may call from 3:00-7:00 PM Sunday, May 7 at the Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 8 at 11:00 AM at MoffittÂPerfetti Funeral Home, with Revs. Clifford Adair and Richard Harre officiating. Burial will follow in Morrisonville Cemetery.
