David Lee DeLay

David Lee DeLay, 53, of Tampa, FL, formerly of Taylorville, died Thursday, November 2, 2006, in VCU Medical Center, Richmond, VA.

He was born August 16, 1953, in Taylorville, the son of Hobert Guy and Agnes (Seward) DeLay. He married Deborah Morrissey. He worked as a precision mill wright for Prairie Central Maintenance and M & R Construction.

Surviving are his wife; son, Ronald Lee (wife Tasha) DeLay of Taylorville; daughters: Danielle Lorine Davenport and Diana Catherine (husband Samuel) Espinoza, both of Tampa, FL; grandchildren: Jaden Lola and Kai DeLay and Darlene Davenport; brothers: Francis (wife Karen) DeLay of Rochester and Lee Roy DeLay of Taylorville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, in Oak Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Rodney Blomquist officiating.

There will be no visitation. Shafer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
