Donna M. Pringle

Donna M. Pringle, 88 of Greenville, IL, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Greenville Nursing and Rehab.

Donna was born March 6, 1935, in Fayette County, IL, the daughter of William and Lois (Bone) Alton.  She married Darrell Willeford and then Harold Pringle, who both preceded her in death.

She was an outgoing person who loved to make friends, talk and chat and never knew a stranger, which helped in her jobs as a waitress and a care giver to the elderly.  She belonged to the Columbus Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, 4 children, John William Willeford, Kimberly Willeford, Lucinda F. ‘Cindy’ Willeford, Stanley Willeford, 3 siblings, Barbra J. Spratt, Gerald Alton, And Murvil Alton.

She is survived by her sister, Inis Long of Carlyle, IL, a brother, Randall Alton of Centralia, IL, and three grandchildren, Jessica, John, and Wendy.

Funeral: 11 am., Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Columbus Baptist Church, with Rev. Bruce Sasse, officiating.

Burial: Taylor Cemetery, rural Mulberry Grove, following the funeral service.

The family asks that donations be made, in Donna’s memory, in lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts.
