John W. Allison

John W. Allison, 79 of Morrisonville passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 1:25 AM at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born October 23, 1927 in Blue Mound, Illinois the son of Colonel M. and Emma (Rigsby) Allison. John married Norma Jean White on August 25, 1957 at the First Presbyterian Church in Morrisonville. Preceding him in death were his parents; Brother, Leslie Allison; Sisters, Mildred Bailey, Ina Bell Lowder and Eleanor Perryman.

Mr. Allison was a self employed carpenter. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Morrisonville and a veteran of the US Army.

Survivors: Wife, Jean Allison of Morrisonville, IL; Daughters, Vickie Corbett of Springfield, IL, Becky (husband, Eric) O'Brien of Morrisonville, IL and Tammy Allison of Chatham, IL; 4 grandchildren, Chelsey Corbett, Steve, Kenny and Amanda O'Brien; Sisters, Corena Bennett of Taylorville, IL and Jacquetta DeClerck of Decatur, IL,; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Friends may call on Friday, July 27, from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 28 at 1:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Morrisonville with Rev. Jim Ferrill officiating. Burial will follow in Morrisonville Cemetery.

In memory of John memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or Morrisonville Community Ambulance.
