Mildred C. Grizzle

Mildred C. “Millie” Grizzle, 87, of Sorento, IL passed away Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 12:15 PM at her home.

She was born September 25, 1918 in Sorento the daughter of William and Emma (Pfeiffer) Gerl. She married Charles E. Grizzle on January 10, 1948 in Sorento; he preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; Grandson, Charlie Grizzle; Daughter in Law, Connie Grizzle; Brothers, Leonard, Willard, Leo, Edward and Richard Gerl; Sister, Helen Glassbrenner.

Mrs. Grizzle had worked in the Registrars office for the Cook County School of Nursing for many years and for the Olin Corporation. She was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church in Sorento, 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Kessinger American Legion Post 713 Auxiliary and the New Douglas Senior Citizens.

Survivors: Sons, Gary Grizzle of Ottawa Lake, Michigan and Randy (wife, Cathy) a Grizzle of Sorento, IL; Grandsons, Kyle and Josh Grizzle; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Friends may call on Sunday, May 14 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 15 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Sorento, with Rev. Nancy Ribes

officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery.

Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento is in charge of arrangements.
