Rose Evelyn Smoot

Rose Evelyn Smoot, 93, of Donnellson, died at 12:54 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2007, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Services will be held Sunday, July 1, at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento at 2 p.m., Pastor Florin Liga officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery, Reno.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Mrs. Smoot was born Aug. 8, 1913, in Canada. She was a homemaker and a member of Donnellson Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She married Thomas Stanley Smoot on July 2, 1928, in Clayton, MO. He died Aug. 6, 1988.

Mrs. Smoot leaves two sons, Everett T. Smoot of Donnellson and James (wife Glenda) Smoot of Hillsboro; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Sadie Smoot of Donnellson; and a niece, JoAnn Alexander of Greenville.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Lloyd Smoot; one brother; and a grandson, Deron Smoot.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Adopt-A-Pet in Benld.
