Velma Irlene Enloe

Velma Irene Enloe, 100, of Sorento passed away Friday, July 21, 2006 at 2:06 PM at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

She was born December 28, 1905 in Sorento the daughter of Archellus and Dollie Jane (May) Enloe. Preceding her in death were her parents, 3 Brothers and 3 Sisters.

Velma moved to Greenville and then to Litchfield following her father’s death in 1915. She lived and worked in St. Louis as a Sales Manager in retail sales. She retired in 1970 and returned to Sorento. Velma was an accomplished artist and pianist. She was a member of the Bond County Genealogical and Historical Society since 1980 and a 30 year member of the D.A.R. Chapter.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Velma will be announced at a later date.

Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento is in charge of arrangements.
