Ada Sackett

Ada Nadine Sackett, 79 of Sorento passed away on Friday, Aug. 7, 2009 at 10:20 a.m. at her home.
She was born June 10, 1930 in Walshville, the daughter of William S. and Mable A. (Hollinbaugh) Long. She married Wesley William Sackett on Dec. 13, 1946 in Sorento; he preceded her in death in 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clarence Long; one grandson and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sackett was a homemaker and had previously worked at Brown Shoe Company in Litchfield. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Greenville.
Survivors include one son, Gary Lynn (wife Arlene) Sackett of Greenville; four daughters, Patricia Ann Delisle of Hillsboro, Katherine Jean (husband Bill) Hoxsey of Girard, Dianna Marie White of Greenville, and Sara Dawn Johnson of Hillsboro; sister, Wilma (husband Cordell) Coats of Sorento; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 11 from 5-8 p.m. at the Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Turok officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento.
Memorials may be made to the Greenville Church of Christ, the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society.
