Alice Marie Grigg

Alice Marie Grigg, 78, of Lincoln, formerly of Sorento, died Sat., Oct. 21, 2006 at 10:35 p.m. in Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born on July 26, 1928, in Sorento, a daughter of Howard & Ida Faye (Parmley) Hawk. She worked for the State of Illinois for 25 years in the dietary dept. at the Lincoln State School, now known as The Lincoln Developmental Center, In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, listening to country & gospel music & attending country music & gospel shows & concerts. She is survived by:

2 sons, Lloyd Dale Grigg, Jr. of Orlando, FL
James Wendell Grigg &
2 daughters, Sandra Robbins;
Susan Faye Lile, ALL of Lincoln
5 grandchildren
1 sister, Lesta Grigg of Coffeen
Several nieces & nephews, including a Special Nephew, Alan “Alf’ Grigg of Lincoln

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Helen McCario, Caroline Middleton & Myrna Mastler.
Funeral services will be held Fri., Oct. 27, 2006 at 11 :00 a.m. in Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Rev. David Trover, pastor of Panama United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. For those sending flowers, she was very fond of yellow roses according to the family. The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Assn.
