Allan R. Alexander, 82 of Greenville, Illinois, passed away on March 21, 2024, in the Greenville Nursing and Rehab Center, surrounded by a loving family.

Allan was born on April 5, 1941, in Highland, Illinois, the son of Clyde Russell and Louise (Robinson) Alexander. He married JoAnn Elizabeth Smoot on June 12, 1969, in Donnellson, Illinois and they were married for over 54 blessed years.

He grew up on a farm near Reno, Illinois and later moved to Greenville, with his family. He dearly loved cats and doted on his daily. He spent four years in the United States Air Force, with one and half years of that time in Okinawa.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn, of Greenville, Illinois; son, Gary (Vicky) Alexander of Greenville, Illinois; a daughter Christine (fiancée, John Rezabek) of Greenville, Illinois; a grandson, Jace Bowen of Greenville, Illinois, and a sister Carol Alexander of Greenville, Illinois.

Graveside service: 10:00 am., Friday, March 29, 2024, at Reno Bethel Cemetery, with Rev. Dee Armes, officiating.
