Alma Tracy

Alma Lee Tracey, 77, of Taylorville passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 4:50 PM at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

She was born on October 18, 1934 at Logan, West Virginia the daughter Richard and Sarah (Messer) Vance. She married Thomas K. Tracey Sr. on August 15, 1952 at Winchester, Virginia. Alma was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas K. “Tom” Tracey Sr.; two sons, Thomas K. “Tom“ (Jennifer) Tracey Jr. and Steven (Cori) Tracey, both of Taylorville; two granddaughters, Kendall Tracey and Carly Jo Tracey, both of Taylorville; one grandson, Mike (Heather) Tracey of Tovey; two great-grandchildren, Kara and Garred Tracey; sister, Elva (Clyde) Cottrell of West Virginia; two nieces, Janice Villers and Lori Wisenvaler. She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home, Taylorville with Pastor Jim Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6 at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home. Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
