Ardell D. Welzbacher

Ardell D. Welzbacher, 88 of Sorento passed away at 8:40 AM on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 1, 1928 at Courtois, Missouri the daughter of Floyd and Lonnie (Brakefield) Gillam. She married Paul N. Welzbacher on September 7, 1955 at Fairmont City, IL; he preceded her in death. Ardell was also preceded in death by her parents; Daughter, Sandra "Sandy" Tash; Grandsons, Michael Paul Reidelberger, Chad Hosto and Devin Cruthis; Brothers, Elmer, Paul and Herbert Gillam; Sisters, Rosalee Stulce and Oneta Schlake.

Ardell was a member of Reno Baptist Church. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved gardening, fishing, and yard sales.

Survivors include: Daughters, Pauline (husband, Dave) Hosto of Walshville, IL and Cynthia (husband, Barry) Johnson of Marine, IL; Sons, Ron (companion, Diana) Welzbacher of Barnhart, MO, Randy Welzbacher, Roger Welzbacher and Ritchie (companion, Holly) Welzbacher all of Sorento, IL; Grandchildren, Jennifer, Meagen, Kayla, Dylan, Dalton, Morgan, Hannah and Mason; Great Grandchildren, Jayden, Logan and Ahnna; Brother, Marvin (wife, Emilee) Gillam of Cuba, MO; Brother in law, Bob Schlake of Doniphan, MO; Sister in laws, Rosemary Gillam of Viburnum, MO and Elizabeth Klinger of Belleville, IL; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time of service at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento.
