Barbara Ann Jones

Barbara Ann Jones, formerly of Panama, Illinois, passed away surrounded by her loving family.

In accordance with her wishes, the family has chosen cremation. A private family memorial will be held on a future date. Assalley Funeral Home in Greenville is overseeing arrangements.

Barbara was born to parents Carl and Rachael (nee Durant) McCarty. She married Max L. Jones, with whom she shared 70 years together. They were blessed with three children.

She retired from Hillsboro School District and was a member of the Panama Baptist Church. She will be remembered and missed by her family and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Carl and Rachael, her sisters Lola, Lora and Lois, and son-in-law Mark O’Donnell.
She is survived by her husband, Max L. Jones; children, Sonjia K. O’Donnell, Curtis L. Jones, Jonette R. (Patrick) Loddick; grandchildren, Isaak (Elizabeth) Perfetti, Cy (Kari) Perfetti, Alexa Loddick; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Lillian, Oakley and Kip; numerous nieces and nephews.
