Barbara Belk

70 year old Barbara Jo Belk of Taylorville passed away Friday, February 5th at 3:05 PM at her home.

She was born March 30th 1939 at Tayloverille the daughter of John and Lillian A. (Rhodes) Walter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sisters, Dorothy Perrine, Ruth Green, and Evelyn Walter.

Barbara had previously been employed by the State of Illinois and Franklin Life Insurance Company.

Survivors: Sons, John "Jay" (wife, Lu) Belk of Taylorville and Dennis (wife, Susan) Belk of Springfield; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; Brothers, Lester Walter of Pearl, IL, Bill (Shaun) Walter of Rochester, IL and Richard (Joan) Walter of Blue Mound, IL; Sisters, Deloris (Bert) Barber of Springfield, and Ellen (Gary) Ahrens of Chatham, Many Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 10th 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery at Buckhart.
