Barbara E. Colclasure, 71, of Taylorville died at 8:29 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2009, in Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 11, 1938, in Morrisonville, the daughter of Clarence L., Sr., and Treva H. Parish Christopher. She married Omer Wilson Colclasure on August 2, 1956. He died in 1998. She was a business owner for many years in several locations. She was a member of various clubs, including Eagles, Rotary Club and Moose Lodge.

Surviving are her daughter, Katherine (husband Steve) Satterthwaite of Fisher; grandchildren: Heather Satterthwaite (fiancé Patrick) of Fisher, Joshua Kolack stationed in Korea, Scott (wife Becky) Satterthwaite of Fulton, MO, Treva Garrison of Conway, AR, and Leanne Rose (husband Dylan) of Bee Branch, AR; eight great-grandchildren; brothers: Barry Christopher and Donald (wife Susie) Christopher, both of Taylorville, Clarence Jr. (wife Grace) Christopher of Edinburg and Alan Christopher of Mattoon; sisters: Millie Christopher of Edinburg, Wilma (husband Doug) Murphy of Weston, OH, and Treva (husband John) Fiaoni of Taylorville; sister-in-law, Lucy Christopher of Lake Toxaway, NC; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sons: Kenneth and Kevin Colclasure; and brother, James Christopher.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 28, in Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home, Taylorville, with Rev. Gaylord Spilker officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 27, in the funeral home.
