Barbara J. Hicks

Barbara Jean Hicks, 69 of Taylorville passed away at 3:30 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Heritage Manor in Pana.

She was born on April 8, 1947 at Taylorville, the daughter of James W. Oller and Patsy J. McKinney. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond, a son Melvin (Ray) Norris, Jr., and a brother Gale Oller.

Barbara worked for Taylorville Care Center for several years as a CNA. Prior to that she was a dog groomer.

Survivors include: Daughters, Cheri L. Brown of Gainesville, FL and Melinda D. Mahone, Assumption, IL, (husband, Jeremy); Son, Dennis R. Brown (wife, Tina) Carlinville, IL; 4 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Shafer-Perfetti Funeral Home in Taylorville. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:30 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
