Barbara L. Jackson

Barbara L. Jackson, 69, of Morrisonville, passed away at 8:04 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Barbara was born July 8, 1951 in Decatur. She married James Jackson in 1985, and he preceded her in death in 2005. Barbara worked for Bell’s Jewelry in Decatur for over 20 years, and she was a member of the Morrisonville Village Board. She adored her two dogs, Priscilla and Penelope, and she loved working in her yard. Barbara’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, James C. Hensley.
Barbara is survived by her son, Bradley Long of Decatur; daughter, Leilani (husband, Brian) Muhr of Charleston; grandchildren, Samantha Muhr, Kylie Muhr, Brion Long, Cooper Jackson, and Devon Kramer; and 2 great grandchildren.
Barbara will be cremated, and no public ceremonies will be held.

Barb and I worked together at Bell’s Jewelry, Decatur, IL. We had lots of fun together, travelled together, and spent loads of time together before she moved. I will miss her laughter. She was indeed a special lady from whom I learned a lot. RIP Barb.
Barb was a great neighbor to my parents and friend to the 3 of us. I have good memories of Barb since she became neighbor s to the Brandt’s on North Street in Morrisonville. Sorry for all of you loss. Prayers 🙏 for all of you.
