Betty A. Antoine

Betty A. Antoine, 82, of Blue Mound, formerly of Stonington, Illinois died Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 10:00 P.M. in Meadow Manor Nursing Home, Taylorville.

Betty was born on March 23, 1924 in Decatur to R. W. and Gertrude A. (Young) Disney. She married Francis Antoine in 1946 in Taylorville. He preceded her in death in 1989. She was the voice of the Taylorville Wal-Mart.

She is survived by her daughters: Connie (husband Frank) Cooper of Norcross, GA, Judy (husband Gary) Ashburn of Blue Mound, IL.; Son, Terry Antoine of Harvel, IL.; Grandchildren: Jeff (wife Cheryl) Ashburn of Taylorville, Tobey (wife Karla) Ashburn of Blue Mound, IL., Corinne (husband John) Hamstreet of Lawrenceville, GA and Jim Boaden Jr. of Missouri; Sister: Virginia Lambert of Lincoln, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Samantha Antoine.

Funeral will be held at Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Rod Hite of Destiny Fellowship officiating. Burial will be held at Old Stonington Cemetery, Stonington, IL. Visitation will be held on Saturday at Shafer Funeral Home Taylorville from 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M.

Pallbearers include Terry Antoine, Gary Ashburn, Jeff Ashburn, Tobey Ashburn, Frank cooper, John May and Harlan “Beetle” Bailey.

Memorials may be made to Meadow Manor Nursing Home Taylorville or The Children’s Miracle Network.
