Betty Lou Vincent

Betty Lou Vincent, 83, Mt. Auburn, passed away November 20, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur.
She was born February 16, 1924, in Mattoon, the daughter of Alzuma (Bence) and Donovan Henne. She married Ernie Vincent on August 8, 1943, in the Blue Mound Christian Church.
Totally devoted to her family, Betty happily worked inside the home for decades, raising three children and entertaining family and friends on the farm outside of Blue Mound and later, in her adopted home of Mt. Auburn.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Susie (Philip) Beck, Chandler, Arizona, and Debbie Hohenstein, Mt. Auburn; her son, Bruce Vincent (Paul Bollington), London, England; grandchildren, Stephanie (Ken) Mantle, Queen Creek, Arizona, Steve Beck, Tempe, Arizona, Clint (Joli) Hohenstein, Decatur, Wyatt Hohenstein, Springfield, Austin Vincent, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Ryan Vincent, Indianapolis, Indiana; brother-in-law Frank (Maxine) Vincent, Taylorville; sisters-in-law Eunice White, Taylorville, Janice Vincent, Mt. Auburn, Mary (Harry) Elliott, Mt. Auburn, Dixie Vincent, Mt. Auburn, Dorothy (Elwood) Moffett, Stonington, and Nola (Leland) Lefever, Palmer; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Vincent; her son-in-law, Bruce Hohenstein; her twin brother, Robert; and her parents, Alzuma and Donovan Henne.
Services will be held on Friday, November 23, with the visitation from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and the funeral service at 1 p.m., at Mt. Auburn United Methodist,Church, with the Reverend George Heineman officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
