Blanche Beatrice Stanley

Blanche Beatrice Stanley, 93, of Palmer passed away Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 3:50 AM at Heritage Manor in Pana.

She was born July 14, 1913 in Taylorville the daughter of William and Martha "Mattie" (Kingery) Longden. She married Marion Stanley on February 12, 1932 in Taylorville; he preceded her in death on May 2, 2000. Also preceding her in death were her parents and an infant daughter, Marilyn K. Stanley.

Mrs. Stanley and her husband owned and operated Stanley Grocery in Palmer for many years. She was a member of Orient Rebekah Lodge #2 of Palmer and the Community of Christ Church of Taylorville.

Survivors: Daughters, Martha (husband, Michael) Kerns and Shirley (husband, Carl) Taylor both of Palmer, IL; James (wife, Barbara) Stanley of Oreana, IL, John Stanley of Chitister, AR and Jeffrey Stanley of Palmer, IL; 11 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Friends may call on Friday, February 9 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 10 at 10:00 AM at Anderson Cemetery in Palmer with the Rev. Jim Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Cemetery.
