Bonnie C. Burnell Flemming, 63, of Taylorville died Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at 11:40 A.M. in her home.
She was born September 17, 1942 in Taylorville to Christina Miller and Howard Burnell. She retired from TWA and American Airlines. She also worked for the State of Illinois and was recently employed at H & R Block in Decatur. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was active in choir. She was a member of ABATE and Gold Wing Rider’s Chapter T, Christian Motorcycle Association and Women on Wheels. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, camping, and boating.
Surviving are her daughter, Connie Joan (husband Mike) Anderson of Beardstown; sons: Scott (wife Tanja) Flemming of Morrisonville, IL, Jeffrey (wife Laura) Germann of Springfield, MO, Robert (wife Naomi) Germann of Leesville, LA; 14 grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; sister Connie Dickey of Taylorville; uncle, Bobby G. (wife Marilyn) Miller of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Burnell and Christian Gladfelter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 11, in First Baptist Church, Taylorville, with Rev. Steve Robinson and Judge Ronald Spears officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, in Shafer Funeral Home and for one hour prior to services in the church Saturday. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Choir, Taylorville or Central Illinois Down Riders.
