C. Buel Mitchell

C. Buel Mitchell, 97 of Taylorville formerly of Morrisonville passed away Monday, July 23, 2007 at 9:10 PM at Taylorville Care Center.

He was born October 23, 1909 in St. James, Missouri the son of Charles and Leutisha (Sands) Mitchell. He married Zelma Lucille Peat on August 16, 1939 at the Methodist Parsonage in Morrisonville. Preceding him in death were his parents; Brothers, Floyd and Clarence Mitchell; Sisters, Myrtle Wilson, Pearlie Rhodes and Lillie Bethard.

Mr. Mitchell was self employed as a General Repairman in the Morrisonville and surrounding areas for many years. He was a member of the Morrisonville United Methodist Church, men's fellowship, former village board member and an avid gardener. 

Survivors: Wife, Zelma L. Mitchell of Taylorville, IL; Son Wayne (wife, Tammy) Mitchell of Morrisonville, IL; Daughters, Carla Roberts of Warrenton, MO and Betty (husband, Charles) Angelo of Morrisonville, IL; 6 Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Friends may call on Saturday, July 28 from 9:30-10:00 AM at the Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28 at 10:30 AM at Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Ferrill officiating. Burial will follow in Morrisonville Cemetery.

In memory of Buel memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
