Carlyle Aden Griffith

Carlyle Aden Griffith, 69, of Taylorville, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 12:45 p.m. at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

He was born on August 23, 1943 at Moweaqua, the son of Lyle and Helen (Carr) Griffith. He married Judith Lenzini on June 22, 1963 at Taylorville. Before his retirement, Carlyle was employed by the Illinois Department of Transportation as a highway maintainer. He was a member of Mound Lodge 122, Kincaid American Legion Post 905, Veterans Memorial Home and Davis Memorial Christian Church. He was a US Navy Veteran.

Survivors include: Wife, Judith Griffith of Taylorville, IL; daughters, Regina (husband, Garrett) Swanson of Palatine, IL and Lori (husband, Joe) Ackerman of Riverview, FL; mother, Helen Griffith of Taylorville, IL. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Kenneth Griffith.

Honoring his wishes, private family graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville.
