Carol Ann Groves

Carol Ann Groves, 64 of Gillespie passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 2: 10 PM at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield. 

She was born October 24, 1943 in Litchfield the daughter of John William and Alberta Marie (Guthals) Jarman. Preceding her in death were her father; 2 Grandsons, Johnny and Joseph Bone; Brother and Sister in Law, Robert and Doris Jarman; 2 Nephews, Edward Jarman and Tom Bone; 2 Great Nephews, Brad Bone and Chase Steiner. 

Carol worked at the Diamonds Restaurant in Staunton for 21 years before its closing and at Quick Stuff in Litchfield for 3 years. She was a member of the Walshville Baptist Church and the ATA Auxiliary. 

Survivors: Son, John (Toni) Groves of Benld, IL; Daughters, Debbie (Scott) Ismari and Tina (Bud) Bone both of Litchfield, IL; 4 Grandchildren, Amanda Bone, Joshua Ismari, Mac Bone and Alaina Ismari; 3 Great Grandchildren, Paitynn Wilson, Emma Bone and Gunner Wilson; 2 Step Grandchildren, Misty and Chris Fincher; Mother, Alberta Jarman of Gillespie, IL; Brother, Dwayne (Wanda) Jarman of Mt. Olive, IL; 7 Nieces and 5 Nephews; Many Great Nieces and Nephews and Great Great Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 22 at 11:00 AM at the Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento with the Rev. Oley Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 21 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento.

In memory of Carol memorials may be made to the Groves Family. Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento is in charge of arrangements.
