Carol E. Slatton, age 76, of rural Greenville passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at Helia Healthcare. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 3 PM at The Greenville Church of Christ. Friends may call Saturday, January 9, 2016 after 1 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to The Greenville Church of Christ. Carol was born March 16, 1939 in Clatskanie, Oregon to Harold Loren and Helen Ethal (Kola) Putman. She married Kenneth Wyatt Slatton on June 15, 1957 in Brookings, Oregon. She is survived by her husband Ken of rural Greenville, her sons Kenneth E. (Nancy) Slatton of Greenville and Christopher A. (Pennie) Slatton of Greenville, her son-in-law Jim Plunkett of New Douglas, IL. her grandchildren Ashley (Brandon) Kircher, Zachary Slatton, Amanda (Jared) Mason, Brooke Slatton, Traci Slatton, and Coty (Brooklyn) Slatton, along with her great granddaughter Nori Layne Kircher. She was preceded in death by her daughter Laura Helena Plunkett. Carol grew up in Oregon and lived in numerous places after her marriage before moving to rural Greenville in 1967. She worked three years at Capri IGA and then worked for 32 years as a realtor for Holzinger Real Estate and Bond County Real Estate. She was a member of The Greenville Church of Christ.

  5. Sorry to hear about your loss. I worked with Carol with Holzinger Real Estate in the 70's and she is a lady I enjoyed working with. She was sharp and always knew the market. It was always a pleasure to see her.

  6. We knew Carol as I went to high school with Ken ,we were like family.So sorry to hear that she has passed away.our children grew up to gather.our prayers are with Ken & family.
