STONINGTON - Charles Gurney Coleman, 78 of Stonington passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 9:19 AM.

He was born April 15, 1933 at Stonington the son of Joseph G. and Opal (Barham) Coleman. He married Shirley J. Tyler on April 12, 1958 at Taylorville. Preceding him in death were his parents, Brother, John and Don Coleman and a sister, Phyliss Blades. 

Charles had worked as a house mover for both Cruikshank House Movers and Devore House Movers and was also a laborer. He was a veteran of the Army.

Survivors: Wife, Shirley J. Coleman of Stonington, IL; Sons, Steven (Lori) Coleman and Joseph (Deana) Coleman both of Belleville, IL and Gamble (Angela) Coleman of Bradenton, FL; Daughter, Bonnie (Jim) Brownfield of Belleville, IL; Brother, David (Mary) Coleman of Decatur, IL; Sisters, Pearl (Eldon) Weaver of Taylorville, IL, Vera (George) Thomason of Stonington, IL and Kay Myers of Stonington, IL; Many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
