Charles L. 'Buddy' Salmons Jr.

Charles L. ‘Buddy’ Salmons, Jr., 64, of Greenville, Illinois, passed away on May 2, 2024, at his home.

Buddy was born on July 29, 1959, in Highland, Illinois, the son of Charles Lowell and Pearl Mae (Arbgast) Salmons, Sr.

After graduating from Collinsville High School, he worked a variety of factory jobs throughout the years. He was a quiet guy, who liked to spend time with family and friends, especially his brothers, playing pool and watching tv. His father taught him how to work on cars and the two often worked together fixing up old cars for fun. He was an animal lover, enjoyed going ‘junkin’ with friends, was in a dart league, and a member of the Eagles Club #1051, both in Collinsville, Illinois.

Preceding Buddy in death are his parents, and brother, Kenneth Lee Salmons.

Surviving Buddy are his children, Kyle Carroll of Carbondale, Illinois, Brandon Salmons of Highland, Illinois, and Cassandra Suzanne Salmons of Belleville, Illinois, and siblings, Wanda Crockett of Collinsville, Illinois, Glen Salmons of Greenville, Illinois, Marilyn Salmons Spoon of San Antonio, Texas, and Jerry Salmons of Greenville, Illinois.

Visitation: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm., Friday, May 10, 2024, at Assalley Funeral Home, 118 E. College Ave., Greenville, IL 62246.

Funeral: 12:00 pm., following the visitation.

Burial: Robinson Cemetery, Pocahontas, Illinois, following the funeral.
