Charlotte Oary

Charlotte Joann Oary, 72, of Sorento died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at 12:30 a.m. in the Greenville Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Oary will be Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 11:30 a.m. in the Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento, the Rev. Elmer Fenton will officiate, and burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, Sorento. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on the day of the funeral.

Mrs. Oary was born on May 21, 1936, in Sorento to John and Edith (Simpson) Boerckel. Her parents, four sisters, and five brothers preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Bone of Sorento; two sons, Danny and Dennis Oary, both of Seattle, WA; three grandchildren; two sisters, Viola Dobrinich of Mt. Olive and Ruby Cearlock of Nokomis; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Oary worked at Basler Electric in Highland as a connector until she retired after 20 years of service; she also worked for Roller Derby in Litchfield for five years. She belonged to the Reno Baptist Church.
