Charna Roberta Collier

Charna Roberta Collier, 69, of Taylorville, died on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 6:35 A.M. in her residence. She was born on February 21, 1937 in Kincaid, Illinois to Riley and Geraldine “Boots” (Lisse) Lancaster.

She married Robert James Collier Jr. on December 1, 1956 in Taylorville. She retired from Christian County Courthouse Zoning Office where she was the secretary for 28 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a member of Christian County Board of Health, VFW Auxillary, Zoning Board.

She is survived by her mother Geraldine “Boots” Lancaster of Kincaid, Sons: Robert J. (Mary) Collier III of Springfield, IL, David (wife Barbara) Collier of Springfield, Herman (Brenda) Collier of Taylorville, and John (wife Lori) Collier of Bloomington, IN, Daughters: Ann Frolich of Seattle, WA, Robin Collier of Des Moines, IA, Jacqueline (husband Mike) Urnikis of Peru, IL, 17 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren, Sisters: CynDee Wallace and CanDee Luttrell all of Kincaid; Brother: Herman Gary “Buzz” Lancaster of Kincaid. She was preceded in death by her father, husband, and 1 grandchild.

Inurnment will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville with Pastor Bob Spurgin officiating. Celebration of Life Visitation will be held at Mr. & Mrs. Herman Collier’s residence, 3720 Oakwood Circle, Taylorville on Friday, September 15, 2006 from 5:00-8:00 P.M.
