Daniel "Bruce" Morgason

Daniel Bruce Morgason, 56, of Taylorville, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, following a long battle with illness.
Bruce was born September 4, 1963 in Dekalb, the son of A. Dale and Joann L. (Durbin) Morgason. Camping and fishing with his brothers is what he enjoyed most, and Bruce loved drinking his ice cold beer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger Morgason; and sister, Linda Morgason.
Bruce is survived by his sons, Jesse Cole of Hillsboro, and Daniel L. Watkins of East St. Louis; siblings, Phyllis Townsley of Danville, Wanda Morgason of Taylorville, Wayne “Rex” (wife, Anita) Morgason of Winchester, Darryl G. Morgason of Taylorville, twin Samuel “Brian” (wife, Alicia) Morgason of Bethany, and Sarah (husband, Larry) Crabtree of Iowa; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Mary Hartley.
Private family graveside ceremonies will be held at Oconee Mound Cemetery in Oconee.
